4 Examples of Perfect “Our Projects” Web Pages by Windsor Construction Companies

Construction of Office Building

Arguably the most integral part of any construction company website is the “our projects” page. It’s the page that gives potential clients an idea of the size and scope of the type of work a company is able to complete and also doubles as a listing of clients a company has worked with in the past.

Most well-designed “our project” web pages share the same basic traits. They typically reside on their own URL (eg. www.example.com/our-projects/), they include a minimum of 6 projects, they’re categorized, and ideally each individual project has a minimum of 3 or 4 photos of the project. These 4 traits were exactly what I was looking for when I scoured the web for Windsor construction companies with perfect “our project” pages.

Fortis Group

Website: Fortis Group
Approximately a year ago, two of Windsor’s most successful commercial contracting companies, STC Construction Group and De Angelis Construction, partnered to form what is now known as Fortis Group. Shortly after the partnership was formed a re-brand was completed that included a new website with a very well-designed projects page.

The projects are laid out in the very trendy “masonry” format meaning the photos are different sizes that fit together like a puzzle. Once a project is clicked, a larger image of the project is displayed within a slider which allows you to flip through each project photo. The projects are able to be sorted by project type and the page also includes the logos of each of the clients included in that project type.

Petretta Construction

At first glance the black and white design of the Petretta Construction project page may seem a bit drab but once you start hovering over various photos you realize it works really well. Rather than displaying all projects the second you get on the page, you’re brought to a “Project Categories” page which lists the various types of work completed. When you hover over the project category the project fades to color and is clickable to more photos.

Once inside a project category, the projects are listed full-width taking up your entire screen size whether you’re on a 15″ laptop or a 24″ monitor. Again, hovering over a specific project fades that project to color and once clicked enters you into the specific project photos. This page is also full width and includes hovers which fade to color. When a specific photo is clicked a slider opens allowing you to scroll through all photos within the project.

The Prestressed Group

Website: The Prestressed Group
The Prestressed Group website project was a project I was fortunate enough to take part in back when I was working with DMG. While The Prestressed Group doesn’t “develop buildings” they do provide the gigantic concrete slabs which most buildings use when they’re constructed so I feel like they belong on this list.

The projects page for The Prestressed Group is simple but very detailed. As with most project pages, the top of the page allows you to sort by project type. Once a project is selected you’re brought to a new page that includes a minimum of 3 or 4 photos of each project with one added feature, the “details” button. Once clicked, information about the project slides in covering about 33% of the photo and includes details on the location of the project, the company, the architect and other additional information.

Silver Springs Construction

Silver Springs Construction Projects
Website: Silver Springs Construction
Silver Springs Construction is a family-owed commercial, industrial and residential construction company in Windsor. They’ve worked with several large local companies such as: Movati, Unique Tool and Manufacturing and the City of Windsor. I know that because their project page includes the logos of clients they’ve worked with in the past.

The design of the Silver Springs Construction project page is similar to The Prestressed Group page in that it lists all recent projects as well as a navigation at the top to sort through them. Once a project is clicked a new page opens which includes a content slider at the top of the page to scroll through the various project photos. Below the page are brief details about the project as well as arrows which allow you to scroll through to the next available project.
